DOCUMENTED CROSS-PLATFORM CASE

From launch to 18.7 million monthly views for a Chinese-speaking audience.

The Instagram account was created on September 3, 2026. The client's brief was to build an audience around Chinese-language content, including people in Taiwan, mainland China, Hong Kong and Malaysia, as well as Chinese-speaking communities in the United States and Indonesia.

What the latest dashboard evidence shows

The later dashboard records 18.7 million views, 20.2 thousand new followers and 101 pieces of shared content for September 14 to October 13, 2026. It extends the documented operating record beyond the earlier September 5 to October 4 snapshot, which showed 12,018,159 views.

The latest summary does not display a platform-by-platform allocation. I therefore report its 18.7 million total exactly as shown and do not infer a new Facebook-versus-Instagram split. The earlier dashboard evidence remains below to document the preceding stage of growth.

The audience view shows Chinese as the largest listed language at 54.4%, followed by English at 36.5%. Taiwan was the largest listed location at 34.4%. Malaysia, the United States and China also appeared among the five leading locations shown in the supplied snapshot.

What the earlier 12-million-view snapshot established

The connected Facebook dashboard shows 6.5 million views, 156,904 engagements and 15,887 follows over 28 days. Those 6.5 million Facebook views are included within the 12,018,159 total shown in the cross-platform Instagram Insights reporting.

The balance is approximately 5.5 million Instagram Reels views. The correct reading is therefore about 6.5 million Facebook views plus about 5.5 million Instagram Reels views, together producing the approximately 12 million reported total. These platform figures are components of one total and must not be added again.

My role in the work

I led the opportunity framing, audience positioning, content direction and final quality review. The publishing system was built around a defined language audience and a consistent production rhythm. As with my other content projects, execution can involve a small production team while I retain responsibility for strategy and finished-output review.

What can be learned from the early operating period

A language audience is not the same as one country

Chinese-language content can travel across markets and diaspora communities. That makes language, cultural context and content behavior more useful starting points than a single-country label. The reporting also surfaced Latvia as a significant location. That unexpected result should be investigated rather than edited out of the story.

Publishing volume created more opportunities to learn

At approximately three to four pieces per day, the account generated enough observations to compare topics, openings, formats and audience response quickly. Volume by itself is not the strategy. It only becomes useful when each piece feeds a review process and the next production decision.

The late acceleration matters

The 30-day graph shows the largest growth near the end of the reporting period. This means the monthly total should not be read as a flat daily average or evidence that every post performed similarly. A small number of high-performing Reels may account for a large share of reach.

What this case does not prove

  • It does not guarantee the same reach, follower growth or timing for another account.
  • It does not show revenue, qualified leads, retention or customer acquisition cost.
  • It does not prove that every intended geography was reached. Hong Kong and Indonesia are part of the stated target, but they are not visible among the top five locations in the supplied screenshot.
  • It does not isolate one creative variable as the sole cause of growth.

Evidence note: These screenshots were supplied from an authorized client project and are published without the account name. Repeated “Markzhong” watermarks protect the evidence from reuse. Figures are transcribed from Instagram and Facebook dashboards and have not been independently audited by Meta.
